The Associació de Comerciants of Encants Market is a non-profit organization formed by about 300 members. Its objective is to manage the day-to-day running of the market and position it as an alternative for sustainable and local consumption. It is considered the epicenter of the second-hand and antique shopping circuit and as a unique and tourist attraction in the city of Barcelona.
The Association is made up of second and third generations of shopkeepers who have managed to maintain or update their family businesses, and of new charmers who are joining the ranks year after year. A community of varied origins and specializations that makes diversity its strength.
