When Encants Market is open?
We are open every Mondays, Wednesday, Fridays and Saturdays from 9 a.m to 8 p.m. Check for opening times in public holidays and special opening times in the Calendar.
How can i arrive?
Encants Market is locateed in Plaça de les Glòries, main entrances is in Avinguda Meridianain the corner of street Encants Vells. The B:SM parking is in the street Castillejos, 158. You can also get here in Bicing (Barcelona’s bycycle sharing system) and public transport:
Metro: Línia 1 Glòries, Línia 2 Monumental
Bus: H12, H14, V21, V23, V25, 7, 62, 192
Tram: T4, T5, T6 Glòries
Can i park at the Market?
There’s a parking for cars ans motorbikes in the same building. The acces is in the street Castillejos, 158 (you can consuslt rates at B:SM Encants, a company manaegd by Barcelona City Council).
Is the Market accessible to people with limited mobility?
The facilities meet the required accessibility conditions so that people with reduced mobility or functional diversity can move comfortably and independently through the Market. You will find access ramps, accessible washbasins and lifts on all floors and in the B:SM Encants Underground Car Park accessible via Carrer Castillejos, 158.
Can I bring my bike into the Market?
For safety reasons, in order to avoid accidents and due to the usual influx of people, it is not allowed to access the Market with a bicycle. You can park your bicycle in the parking spaces provided at the main entrances to the Market.
Are dogs allowed?
Yes, the Market is a pet friendly place and we will be very pleased if you visit us with your pet, as long as it is properly leashed and you are responsible for its behavior respecting other visitors.
Is there a home delivery service?
Home delivery is a service that each business manages individually. Do not hesitate to consult the mailing list if you are interested.
AUCTION
Can I attend the auction as a spectator?
The auction is open to the public and is held on Mondays, Sundays and Fridays from 7:45 am to 9:00 am. See the Calendar to check the holidays.
Can I participate in the auction?
To participate in the Encants auction you have to register in an official list managed by the Institut Municipal de Mercats de Barcelona (IMMB), Ajuntament de Barcelona. You can request information about the procedure and requirements from the Market Management by e-mail at mercatencantsfirabellcaire@bcn.cat or by phone at +34 934 132 328.
What is the source of the goods sold at auction?
The goods come from apartments or houses that have been cleared because of a move or bereavement. Other contributions come from businesses that close or have an excess of stock, or collectors who have sold their collections.
I need to clear an apartment due to a move or bereavement, or am closing down a business, and I want to sell. Who should I talk to?
You can consult the directory of professionals dedicated to the purchase and sale of stocks and the clearing of apartments. Contact them to see who can offer you the best conditions.
I want to sell a collection of vinyls, books, clothes etc. How can I do it?
There are many shops in the Mercat that buy items from individuals to stock up on selected products. You can check the establishments with the hashtag #WeBuy! to see if there is anyone interested in your product. We advise you to contact the seller to explain what you want to sell and, if necessary, send photos by email or WhatsApp if you are interested in the product. You can also come directly to the Market and talk to the sellers.

Are the Encants the same as the previous location of the Mercat?
In 2013 all the shops of the Mercat left their former location on the other side of Plaça de les Glòries and moved to the spectacular new building. Logically there are also new shopkeepers, but if you walk around the Market you will surely find some familiar faces. There are families who have been at the Market for generations and generations and who, with the new ones, try to make it a little better every day.
How can I find a specific item?
You can consult the directory of shops on this website and find the type of article according to the different categories. However, the best thing to do is to come to the Market because there are some shops that do not appear in the directory. It is also possible that, walking through the Market, you find what you are looking for by chance. We invite you to come and see what is there because the products are always different; and to ask, because we will probably be able to help you find what you are looking for.

Are the illegal traders nearby part of the Market?
99 % of the time the activity of the Market takes place inside the building, although in occasional evnts it can also occupy the surrounding street with recognized stalls. These two areas aer unique to the Market. Another completely different phenomenon is that of the illegal tradrs that sometimes set up in the vicinity (beyong the Market street). This type of unregulated activity is in no way part of the Market.
